This is the web home for the Lanesborough, Mass., Volunteer Fire Department. LVFD is an all-volunteer force, consisting of a Chief, 2 Deputies, 33 firefighters, 10 EMTs, and many first responders. Lanesborough, one of the largest towns of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, borders Pittsfield, Hancock, New Ashford, and Cheshire. Our responsibilities include structural fire response and hazmat incidents throughout town, as well as brush fire response. In addition, we provide a Massachusetts licensed ambulance and we provide mutual aid to Pittsfield and surrounding communities. The Berkshire Mall is an 800,000 square foot shopping complex at the southern end of town; Rockwell Road and the southern access to Mt. Greylock State Reservation is off of Main Street/US Route 7.
